Electric is back off again, now, but assuming that's just so that they can do the work on the neighbouring village to get them back on.

That's the exact description I used, yesterday. Electric just came back on, been off since midday.

I saw a post on Twitter that showed a message sent out by the power company stating that they were providing hot food between 1 pm and 3 pm. The message was received around 4.30 pm

I'm guessing this is the right place to glean some information on the suitability of Cubes/cubettes for my room
After having my NVA starter system for nearly a year I've got the itch to try NVA speakers. I understand, however, that they are somewhat room dependent for success.
My listening room is a loft conversion with a relatively low ceiling height of 2.1 metres( 6ft 6in roughly). Also the speakers would be placed at one end under the roof slope. This means there is a 3ft high vertical wall behind the speakers and it then angles in at 45 degrees to the ceiling. Additionally there are roof lights in the slope above the speaker positions.
Am I expecting too much for the semi-omnis to work in this scenario. The room use and furniture limits alternative placement
Thanks in advance for your help.

My guess is that they should work fine but may need to be pulled away a bit from the back wall.

Cubes make use of the available room acoustic but experimentation with placement will be needed to find the best result.
