The cold winds blow down from the North and bring a calm serenity that has carried me through the hectic, tension-laden COVID-Christmas period.
Well-regarded and one of the UK's top vocal ensembles, Voces8 here work their way through a selection of predominantly Scandanavian, modern compositions with a sense of otherworldly grace that simpy lifts your spirits to a better place.
Came across this band in the prog book I had for Christmas, although I am familiar with the Nazereth cover of My white bicycle. The Steve Howe guitar sound is distinctive. The singer is Keith West who sang Excerpt from a teenage opera (Grocer Jack), a childhood favourite of mine from Ed Stewart's Junior Choice. My prog leanings go back a long way. The book is a mine of information.

Keith West also had a band called Moonrider, who made a single album which I've got and that I really like. You might recognise a couple of the band members.
*Chico Greenwood - Drums
*Bruce Thomas - Bass
*John Weider - Guitar, Vocals
*Keith West - Guitar, Vocals
Utterly superb debut solo album from Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera, featuring all the Roxy gang (except Ferry) and with lead vocal roles for Brian Eno, John Wetton and Robert Wyatt.
