Mono 'Pilgrimage of the Soul' (2021)

Lovely instrumental Post-Rock from Japanese veterans of that genre. By turns powerful and serene.
Highly recommended for those who enjoy Explosions In The Sky or Mogwai.

Avenged Sevenfold - Life is but a dream...

The best album to come out this year IMO. Prog metal with good production and mastering.

The Damned 'Machine Gun Etiquette' (1979)

Well, it's only taken me 4 decades to get around to the band that created Punk Rock. But is it Punk? Keyboards, synths, guitar solos, accomplished musicianship - these are not the things that were regarded as acceptable in those tumultous times.

So many years later, all preconceptions have long been dumped and a truly great Rock band is left standing. Full of humour and a tongue-in-cheek attitude, The Damned created music that still brings a smile to my face and memories of pogoing in sweaty clubs!

Having had an extended wander this afternoon, between pubs I foolishly visited Rough Trade "just to have a look" . . .

But I have to admit, the Killing Joke dub album is spectacular. Neon Yellow, number 0164 of 1500 double album.

You need the proper stimulation, obviously :epopc:
