My kids will like Sabbath

Paranoid (album) up first :character-beavisbutthead:
Have a lot of Sabbath moods. Great albums with Ozzy, Dio and Tony Martin.

'Caravan & the New Symphonia' (1974)

My favourite 2nd-hand record shop had a sale last week and I snapped up a stack of LP's that I'd been wanting for a while.
I have had Caravan's Classical/Rock crossover on several versions and my original vinyl is long gone, so it is great to have it again.
Fresh listening reveals this to be an excellently-recorded and exciting album with the band in top form. The integration with an orchestra here is seamless and natural, rather unlike Deep Purple's 'Concerto' which I also got in the same batch and have just played.

Next up: the last great Caravan LP 'Cunning Stunts'.

Nice one  Meddle is fantastic but I don't think I could play it on a Saturday night. I'm gonna play that NY album today. "Down by the river, I shot my baby"

Nektar 'Remember the Future' (1973)

Stunning and adventurous classic 70's rock from this criminally underrated group.
British musicians based in Germany and briefly famous (with this LP) in the USA.

Spinning on psychedelically-transparent orange vinyl.
Groovy!
