One of those seemingly rare occasions when religion was on the right side of history.

Tutu was one of the first to speak publicly about Israel's apartheid regime and their treatment of Palestinians, something he was supremely qualified to recognise.

RIP Janice Long, - Celebrated Greatest Hits and BBC Radio DJ dies aged 66

OBIT

Jeanette and I often used to listen to her Radio 2 show. I even won an on-air contest with a CD as the prize, and after a nice little chat with her I "conned" her into sending me the 4CD Eagles box set that had just been released.

Janice Long. RIP

She was one of the better Radio 1 dj's back in the 80's, gone too young.

Well at 89, he had a good innings, more than he ever scored on a cricket pitch

RIP Ray

My girlfriend over here in Cambodia passed away in the early hours of 14th Dec peacefully in her sleep. She had a very hard life, died far too young at 38, when I had hoped she would be with me for many years, I miss her very much.

RIP Atou

Sad to hear that Antonio. Hope that you carry many happy memories of her.

Loss is a burden and time heals many wounds (but not all).
