In the midst of a gear re-arrangement just realised my box count has gone into double figures ! Half of them are PSU's of course but still it begs the question can't I do with a midi system ?

I'm actually reducing my box count as I am going from monoblocks to a dual mono power amp.

However you could get away with 2 boxes with a digital system using a DAC and digital attenuation straight into a stereo power amp. I have just seen the latest must have DAC which reads direct from SD card's making a PC redundant ? With storage capacity of SD's increasing expotentionally and falling in price could be the way to go Jason

But I guess it depends on how many source's you have....
Think a system does benifit from keeping things separate though to a certain extent PSUs MONOS PRE's
Not DAC's and transports though....Thats taking the piss.......
