Hi all

Was watching tv last night , something I try to avoid, and saw part of a program on the history of albums. Saw three turntables and wondered if anyone new their names. The three TT,s I saw were with Rick Wakeman, Alan Parsons and Noel Gallagher.
No serious reason for this enquiry just trying to educate myself.

I think the one with the wooden edgeing was an early Rega

Trevor Nelson had an LP12, the Rega that was in a lot of the shots (including Noel Gallagher) looked like a P7 to me.

Gentlemen , if another forum is to be believed you are correct [ didnt see the programme myself ] Apparently , Mr Gallagher also had a humble Dynavector 10x5 , which surprsised some but not me , if you've listened to Oasis records and they way they are recorded , the man doesnt have a clue about hi-fi . :D

Alas , to take away all the fun , it is -convincingly - suggested that they are props and not actually owned by the people in question .

Ok Dan....Can you tell us yer thinking on yer above statement.....Ive heard tell that the D10x5 is a bloody good cartridge for the dosh...........

I dont deny that ,heared it myself . My point was .

1] money is no concern to Mr Gallagher , he could purchase any mc cartridge he wished . 2]Oasis lp's are poorly recorded . 1+2 are related .

However , my point may be negated if in facts it is not his turntable .

Yep i geuss a dv 10x5 matched with a rega p7...............Is perhaps not the best way forward if you are a multi millionare............. ...WTF....

Perhaps he just needs to be careful with his money, doesn't he have to pay for an ex wife (and keep some in reserve for any future assault settlements), or have I got the wrong brother ?
