Listen folks - Classical music is a Lie...Oh yes...it aint true...there is no words / no lyrics...it relies on a good bottle of yer choice - to communicate with it. :naughty:
Classical music like Kagagoo / rubettes / worzills / chas n Dave / etc etc etc etc ...... is gone now...........Replaced by hip fukin hop / skip n jump.

The freinds of Mr Cairo - Jon & Van Gelliis...................THE NEW CLASSICAL..............

Discuss - Jammy.

Quote from Terry Booth:
"Whoa. Now there's a challenge. Where'd'yuh think all the stuff we've got now comes from? There must be at least little bits you like, some classical riffs you like? The start of Beethoven's 5th, Mars from the Planets Suite, the Lone Ranger The William Tell Overture ( that's where I started, listening to my Dad's radiogram, riding the back of the settee)."

The definition of an intellectual - someone who can hear the William Tell Overture and not think of the Lone Ranger.

I bought that when it came out, more or less. Do you have the original vinyl release, a sort of combination book and double album?

I think that's one of the reasons I still love vinyl so much. It's not so much the sound quality but the fact that sometimes it can be so much more of a 'complete' experience as opposed to getting the microscope out to read some of the info on CDs :D

Discovered this band when we rented a house on the Isle of Harris a year or two back and there were 75 mixed CD and an actual hifi system to play with (nothing Scottish :? ), but reminded as just picked up another of their CD's and I doubt many will have heard of them, its atmospheric type stuff
