Same thing applies to the upper end of the Tannoy domestic range, and indeed a lot of higher priced hi-fi in general. If Westminster Royals sold for £2500 new instead of £23,499 they'd be pretty good value for money.

Naim have ripped people off for decades, they are not going to stop, they think they have a right to do it, and we hi-fi enthusiasts gave them that right - it is basically our fault for supporting them while they were doing it. Though the mitigation is the brainwash hi-fi enthusiasts have been subjected to by reviewers, magazines and dealers.

If only so much empty space would serve to keep the transformer distant from the signal circuits ...
