A lot for postage because it is from Oz, and it is a black one, I prefer the gold / champagne one. But still well worth the dosh involved.

The champers/gold one wins every time for me. Somehow it just looks more expensive.

Well im a black person (No im white) but champagne colour for me as well.
Still i think the teac vdrs players look nicer than the sony - not so cluttered.

I really don't care what finish the CD player is in. To me it's all about the build quality and most importantly the sound baby!!

Given that quite a few interesting items are available on Ebay Japan, I was wondering about forum members experiences of buying from Japan, usual stuff around being hit for customs duties etc turning the 'bargain' on its head. As I ever I'm sure the usual caveats apply in terms of possible scams etc as anywhere else. The global shipping programme ebay have seems to be US based does it really work?

Just remember Japan is 110v so anything bought will need a step up transformer unless it has internal voltage taps.
