OK. If you're gonna shill, shill in style is my motto. So, since I'm here, my mates, now renamed "Dave Migden and the Twisted Roots" have released a new album - "Animal and Man". I have a signed CD!! It is interesting in that it is recorded on 2" tape - all analogue, using some vintage instruments and mikes, and, after endless badgering by me, IS DUE TO BE RELEASED ON VINYL "soon". Apart from being great British Blues music , from a British Blues Band that conquered Canada in the "Battle of the Bands" competition, it is a further sign of growing trend of recovery for vinyl and analogue. I think you can audition tracks on their website. Interested in what anyone thinks about their music, and their decision to record this way
Not Funk Firms paid marketing department - but friend of Arthur K's and ex-Pink Triangle.

Open minded, but always right

Spooky Tooth, saw them a few times on the London Blues circuit in the 60's. Wood Green Jazz Club, Ferry Boat Inn, Eel Pie Island. Tight rhythm section and good vocal.

Unusual live recording, including cock-ups http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6KAYUXkXP4

Still doing gigs ?

Best blues band today? Let me put a shout in for Willie and the Bandits - great live and three great albums. Friendly trio of young guys from the west country who love what they do.

Tight band but a bit too Folky/Delta for my tastes.
