I did use Mach III blades a number of years back but my stubble meant they woukd be blunt after 3/4 days and at the time worked out at £1 a shave. I get 6/7 days from a DE blade for 25p.

It's worthwhile, I've found the opinions on Badger and Blade a good starting point

And these tend to be pretty good for razors and blade sampler packs.

I shave once a week so as you can imagine multiples of DE blades last me yonks whereas Mach IIIs I found were pretty much spent after 2 uses.

I have always been a wet razor guy just using Tesco throw away cheapies. Got very lazy now because I work from home and only shave about every three or four days. I would grow a beard but my Cancer pills means it would have bald patches and white patches, same on my head which is why I shave that as well. In the new house the bathroom is downstairs until we move it up with an extension so I get a cheap Chinese electric razor off ebay. Well it is brilliant and I just do it in episodes when I feel like it.

Only talking to a couple of people I know about these a few weeks ago, everyone ends up looking like that. Yes I did try them.

For cheap cartridge blades I can recommend these Tesco ones http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/ ... =281928377 They are sharp, last a long time and don't hack your face to bits.

After years of losing attachments, I now have a Remington electric beard trimmer that has an adjusting wheel for different cut sizes. Recommended for this who don't close shave! I look like a 'lesbian' with no facial hair. :P
