Footy
Not that I have much interest in it but I always check how Chelsea are doing because I got fed up as a kid of people asking who I supported and being a Norf London kid the rivalry was always Arsenal or Tottenham so me being me I said Chelsea, and things like that tend to stick.
Anyway I have a little insight into the games being played around the manager due to *a connection*, and I understand a deal has been reached where he disappears off for a season or two and then comes back, otherwise Chelsea would have had to fork out a fortune to break his contract. It is time off, gardening leave, let the shit settle. The club will be set up for his return. Had to be because the vultures were now chewing the bones not just the flesh and the players and manager were now kicking each other in self defence, when that happens something has to change.
Easier to change a manager than change eleven players.

"The Damned United" Film or Book (David Peace, author. Michael Sheen Playing Cloughie) is an insight into all this.

Meanwhile, I'm just waiting for LVG to be next, followed by Audrey Roberts ( sorry, Pellegrini) and then the mother of all public courtship battles can begin for Pep.

Re: Footy
LVG to be replaced by - Jose. The problem is player power won yet again. Probably underestimated how well he did last year with a team that was not his own and couldn't stand him. I think it is irrelevant who is the replacement if the players don't pull their fingers out. Saturday v Sunderland could be crucial.

Re: Footy
My feeling is that Jose lost the dressing room when he abused Dr Cannavaro. Apologies if I misspelt her name. The message he sent to the players was that he didn't care about their well-being. Possibly the daftest thing a manager could do. In the meantime.........

Re: Footy
Not a hope. If he was ever going to come he would have come by now. Besides which Sir Bobby Charlton can't stand him and don't underestimate his influence behind the scenes.Classicrock wrote:LVG to be replaced by - Jose.
I've no idea who will replace LVG, he's publicly stated he wont be there much longer. If they carry on like they have done lately it will be the end of this season for sure IMO.
Funny how Rooney's "ankle" injury coincided with him being taken off the last game, and him allegedly turning up for training 2 days later stinking of alcohol. So the story goes round these parts anyway

Re: Footy
Since rooney faked a move to city for a better contract he as never played at xmas . I would bet it is written in to his contract but because it would be scandalous it is never mentioned in the media and a fake injury is made each festive season . You check appearances at xmas ,he is always injured .

Re: Footy
Apparently many Man U fans are delighted that Rooney is injured judging by Twitter. Has been that bad, but could be LVG's way of playing. I doubt he is now automatic choice for England with Vardy and Kane on form.
