It's a Hudson - Spalted maple body with a through neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Electrics are a single active humbucker with a 3-Band EQ ('Volume', 'Bass', 'Mid', 'Treble')

Don't know the brand but just looking at it - it looks like it plays real nice!

I have been playing my Cort Artisan B4FL quite a lot recently - I just love that sound! Been considering one of these if I ever have enough cash or come across one that I can afford. A Marleaux Diva.

Slinger, found your thread on Talkbass.
Was looking for info about the Hudson basses.
Looks to me like your purchase is a re-badged Curbow - the Cort factory mainly manufactures guitars/basses for big names like Ibanez. Their own designs are relatively unknown.
The Curbow itself is a lovely, lightweight bass (wouldn't mind one myself).

I have found some second hand info (i.e. "My mate works in Cranes and he told me...") that suggests that Cranes have them made up by Tanglewood, and I have to say that their Canyon III model looks like a good match, right down to the headstock.

Whatever it's a copy of I can't wait to get my hands on it. I am a bit apprehensive though as the only fretless basses I've played before have had sissy stripes.

You had to say that didn't you?! I've toyed with the idea of getting an E-Bow for ages, now it looks as if I may have to at some stage.
