Would you hit a woman?
If the opposite sex. Walked up to you, and punched you in the face, Or even attacked you. Would you male HFS members just walk away? Or, would some of you you hit back and protect yourself? Me, I would definitely do the latter.
Another example. If a woman was disrespecting me, and lay her hands on me etc. The female culprit will certainly get one hard punch in return.
What about you guys?

Re: Would you hit a woman?
It's not that unlikely joe. A friend of mine has suffered years of battering from his wife, even being hit with a frying pan on one occasion. Strange thing was that he was/is a bit of a footballer and well known to be a bloody hard bastard on the pitch but, as far as I know, never hit back at his Mrs. Me? I think it would take a fair bit but if I was pushed enough I think I'd hit back, (but not like I'd hit a man), then f**k her off out of it.

Re: Would you hit a woman?
I remember once when much younger. The wife and I were having a heated argument. She decided it was going to be OK to slap me. I grabbed her by her wrists and told her that was not to happen again. I would never hit you, and I expect the same respect from you. It never happened again, and we learned civil ways to work out our differences. Or maybe I became less of a butt. That could have been it. Been married once, for 25 years now, so somehow we seemed to figure it out.
Now if I was in your friends spot. I would have called it quits a long time ago. Wouldn't have hit her, but wouldn't give her the second opportunity. I mean especially with a frying pan! Got to learn when enough is enough.

Re: Would you hit a woman?
Strange question.
If anyone tried to attack me I would either run or defend myself, depending on circumstances.
I think punching someone who "disrepects" you and lays a hand on you could be seen to be a disproportionate response.

Someone I knew? Subdue them. A random stranger? Depends on the circumstances.

Re: Would you hit a woman?
The OP was talking about a random woman walking up and punching you rather than an abusive partner. In the case of the latter, I'd be out the door before it got to the frying pan stage. But I wouldn't hit back.zebbo wrote:It's not that unlikely joe. A friend of mine has suffered years of battering from his wife, even being hit with a frying pan on one occasion.
