Given a choice between listening to some down firing crappy little Tannoy ceiling speakers and Heybrook HB1's off axis, I know what I'd rather use.
I am not creating some lifestyle home theatre system, as shown in the photo of that article. I'm creating a tool for getting reasonable sound from my hired blu rays.

I could probably put together a 5.1 system that sounds 10 times as good for half the price of that sound bar. Soundbars sound better than your telly and nowhere near as good as a proper 'surround sound' setup. That £1700.00 soundbar is 93mm high. What does that tell you about the size of the drivers, including the 'built in' subwoofer?
