Speaker cable, advice needed

My NVA a80 s have always played thro 2.5mm electric cable quite sweetly., solid core power cable.
For reasons that are not important I have to use a different cable for a while, and the only one I have available is 2.5mm multi stranded copper flex.
I had trouble with the amps two years ago and had to return one to Richard for repair so I’m keen not to inflict any more pain on the bank balance, will the copper flex do?
