90 Day Fiance.

My wife and daughter enjoy it.

At times the editing is annoying - in that typical American "reality" TV series kind of way. We're going to show you what we're going to show you, then we're going to show it, then we're going to show you what we've shown you.
And large parts of it will be fake / semi-fake.

However it does provide laugh out loud humour. With the latest series being funnier than most.
And it does provide an insight into how to be attractive or unattractive to one's preferred gender. How to behave in ways that either kill your chance of a happy relationship, or enhance your chance of a happy relationship.

Jasmine in the current series is in my opinion the joint worst woman they've ever had on the show.
Igor is Just in it for the money.
Rob is a waste of space 18 year old trapped in a 32 year old body.
Manuel is as trustworthy as the wings on a Comet jet.

Is Clarkson's Farm any good ? My wife won't entertain it but I quite fancy it (for obvious reasons).

Just finished (slowly) binging the first series of the new Rebus. It's not bad, but I miss Ken Stott.

I’m enjoying all three series’ at the moment. It shows the difficulties farmers face and that behind his cunning and bravado, Clarkson has considerable compassion.

Can't stand Clarkson (was at school with him).

I'm in a nostalgic phase, having worked my way through the entire 'Captain Scarlet' on DVD, I'm now on 'Babylon 5' and starting into season 3 (of 5).

When Clarkson says..

'Meghan, though, is a different story. I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon (first minister of Scotland) or Rose West (a serial killer). I hate her on a cellular level. At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, “Shame!” and throw lumps of excrement at her’

...is that the 'cunning and bravado' which you speak of, then?

I can't stand Clarkson and I've never even met the man.

Babylon 5 is the mutt's nuts of TV sci-fi. My late wife described it as War & Peace in space, and yes, she had read War & Peace.

I didn't get past the first episode. As someone who has read all of the books, and seen all of the TV offerings so far, this new bloke is NOT John Rebus, the same way that - fine actor though he is - John Hannah wasn't John Rebus. Ken Stott captured the absolute essence of the character, and it'll take somebody bloody amazing to equal him, let alone surpass him.

Thought the first episode was OK and will persevere. Preferred the old Rebus. Used to like Taggart. Think he was played by the cousin of Brian Connoly of The Sweet.
