Well what do you call it, if it isn't providing services? When a delivery driver carries a box of items ordered by the shop into the premises?

What would any reasonable person call it?
More barrack-room lawyer bullshit.
Fuck off it is.

I'll light a candle tonight for the big bad coppers who are trampling on your rights. Poor little love.

I found this on a Government website re when and when not to wear a mask.

"You should also wear a face covering in indoor places not listed here where social distancing may be difficult and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet."

I'm sure that would cover delivery drivers entering shops.

This thread is pathetic and nit picking in the extreme. FFS there is a global pandemic which has claimed three million with numbers rising. It is no coincidence that the highest death rates are in countries with idiot leaders who do not take Covid seriosly such as Brazil and the US under Trump. I am as pissed off as anyone for only having what amounts to half a life for over a year, but it is better than no life or losing someone close. If any one has reason to moan about the restrictions it is my wife who is unable to attend the funeral of her father in Kenya.

And here we have an over-zealous police officer and council official behaving in a bullying, over-bearing, intrusive manner in response to someone going about their shopping in a perfectly lawful manner in Sainsburys.

:violence-smack:

The whole tone of this was "You are guilty until proven innocent."

Goons like this are too used to people bowing down to them. And they can't handle it when someone stands up for their rights.

That web-page includes the following section:

When you do not need to wear a face covering

In settings where face coverings are required in England there are some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering.

Please be mindful and respectful of such circumstances. Some people are less able to wear face coverings, and the reasons for this may not be visible to others.

This includes (but is not limited to):

One of the scenarios not covered by that webpage that is included in the legislation includes people providing a service to shops.

The actual written legislation is a better guide to what's legal than the website you linked to.

Your "Poor little love" comment is ad hominem and is against the rules of this forum.

It is also personally insulting.

Well, I dare say that there were policemen who misinterpreted the law before this pandemic, and it's likely that some policemen will misinterpret the law after the pandemic has passed.

We would all prefer people in authority to be perfect in every way (no doubt) but that's all to do with being human.

Personally, I'm more than fed up with you carping on this subject, but I defend your right to free speech.

I disagree that it's ad hominem. Certainly wasn't intended as such. Telling someone to fuck off isn't very polite either but I've moved on. I'm interested in Hifi.
