That would suit me very nicely :guiness;

However, it might cause an even greater furore than Model Worker :lol:

I do think the direction RD took NVA has lots in common with the attitude of the d.i.y punk movement. Personally, as I'm from that background, it was that attitude that really hooked me along with the sound I could get from NVA equipment from the music i had and continue to buy that remains very much d.i.y.

TBH I don't see many companies willing to step out of marketing towards the tradition "HiFi" music space and appeal to those who do have more challenging tastes.

It's kinda like CAMRA who want to ignore whats happening with the craft beer market and continue down their traditional narrow view of what beer is and should be.

Somehow French is OK, but Italian not. :-?
Lol.

'Artisan' describes some of the main qualities of NVA - handmade, specialist, done with love and care.

'Dolcissimo' is one of those overly sugary yoghurts advertised by a naked woman in a sudsy bath with a soundtrack featuring a morbidly obese opera singer, isn't it? ;)

I wouldn't argue with that but I suggest look at Schiit (the brand) for a pointer to left field naming and marketing. You didn't get a review from me for the A20/A38/Model Worker whatever because it wasn't in regular use to a few weeks ago. Not a high proportion of buyers review stuff because they are just reluctant to put pen to paper or can't be bothered. You only get a handful of Amazon reviews per thousands sold I would imagine. You've got to decide what market (real or imaginary) this is supposed to appeal to. As far as i see it you have this forum and word of mouth unless someone stumbles on your website. i've discovered stuff a few times in that way. So the names should not be putting people off in any way by having some political or other meaning according to their perspective. If you want to appeal to a new Yoof market should be adding dacs and streaming to amps as that appears to be where the action is, with possible sound compromises IMO.

Thanks for the feedback and debate, everyone. I'm going to lock this thread now before it becomes completely circular.

The direction we go in will become obvious...
