I tried the original many years ago but was not impressed. It warmed things up a but (the "valve effect"). But it lost a level of detail and imaging. Whatever you're trying to achieve, this is not the answer in my experience.

If you can, you might like to try swapping the DC blocker to before the BMU - if I read your kit properly.
