More like he has set the whole house on fire. Either too thick to understand what he was signing or an attempt to please the gutter tabloids read by the thickoes who elected him.

I went through there on a Tuesday morning in June. Got diverted into the customs hut. Even so, the whole process from A2 to ferry was so quick that we caught the earlier crossing than we were expecting.

Some people can talk :Bllocks: about Brexit if they want. I'll stick to comparing a mid morning during term time vs the week-end when the schools in England break up for the summer holiday.

The EU has taken back control, at the UK's request. I'm selling my villa in the Dordogne...

As Starmer has just announced that he has no plans to rejoin the EU, or anything associated with it, it seems even more apposite once again.
What politicians say and what they believe are two different things. I'm sure Starmer wants to rejoin the EU but going public would alienate the pro Brexit red wall and put the Conservatives back in power again. His views on Brexit and the damage it is doing would be different if/when in power. His ideal situation would be a minority government dependent on the support of the Liberals, SNP and DUP. Rejoining the EU, or at least a referendum, would be the price of their support. Starmer could say to the minority of Labour Brexiteers that his hands were tied and he has achieved the goal of removing the Tories.
Amen to that thought
