We are talking about power supply caps, not caps per se. Stick shit ones in your x-over and you will know.
With power supply caps the rating is important apparently. Higher voltage and higher uf the better.
If your looking for 33,000 uf 63v then a ton a capacitor is not unheard off.
Have got them all here and I'm still to detect a sq variation beyond subtle differences. Certainly nothing like changing the transformer va in the phono amp.

I find the building relaxing, OK I have gained loads of tools over the years, but the longest bit for me is getting the PCB right, track mass, width, earthing/ground, power tracks short, signal shielded.
The amp I have just completed the PCB took full time 6 weeks, OK it sound bloody good, now tooling cost about £500. PCB about £60, parts each channel £380, transformer £80, chassis and heat sink £250, now to assemble the PCB into the chassis.
Oh Mr Quinn try Anglia Components for your caps, I use 33,000uF at 35V a lot. :-

Got some from China , there 65v 33000 uf, they were £23 each . So far they have proved very reliable .
They are the same style col.

I was thinking about this precise subject today, although not hifi related. I've built several PCs, and probably just about broken even with "shop" prices, with the advantage that I've been able to spec them precisely. However, this morning I saw a rather gorgeous looking guitar body for sale. Just the wood, nothing else. It was quite an enticing price too until I priced everything else I'd need. I could buy a used, high-quality guitar for the same sort of money which would probably be a lot better quality than my effort too, and without the soldering.
Measure twice, cut once they say. It pays to show the same diligence when speccing a project, whatever you're building.

But for me I just love making and inventing stuff from Solar Powered Ducks to Massive PSU at 55MW, am I nuts? No need to answer wife said I was. Shit loved one who have em.
