I never went for the larger JBL but I do have the Charge 2+, and it has served me well. It's still the main kitchen speaker.

I also got a Dali Katch:

This is my 'office' speaker, fed by Spotify. It's excellent, and is on for around 8 hours a day, and is the most used piece of music reproduction equipment in the house.

I was both the B&O A1 2nd Generation speaker. It's acute thing, but nowhere near as good as the Katch.

In the same room and placed in the same position with volume matched by ear as much as possible the winner was .....................

the JBL

Maybe I shouldn't be so shocked but the price difference :o The Naim really has been embarrassed imo, and not by a small amount. I can't be arsed to go in to a critique of both. Just have to take my word on it.

If this Muso is representative of the whole modern Naim range then we really should feel very sorry for anybody who has overpaid for the badge and so called pride of ownership. Hey look at me, you love me and my lifestyle. Look at my possessions and despair in envy. You won't get to hear it though. I will just post pictures of it in willy waving threads where you can all give it a like (to boost my ego)and then return to your miserable lesser existences and cry.

P.S It sounds like a Fisher price but that is irrelevant to the discussion
Congrats on your purchase, you paid £30 less than I paid for my Bose Mini Soundlink some years ago. I think portables have come on since then in value and SQ. Only a flat earth zombie would buy a Muso. There is one on PFM who acused me of being deaf for my comments on the LP12 before I was banned. The Muso would be competitive for the sane if a 0 was taken off the price. Will be listening to a portable soon as my step son is having a barbacue to celebrate his birthday.

Well I've ordered the Anker Soundflare mini, sounded pretty good on YouTube and you do have the option of doubling up as suggested by 'TheMarlin'. Will let you know what I think when received. Anyone else looking for a blue tooth speaker, might do well looking on YT for sound comparisons on Anker, Riva and Denon, my favourites and vfm sorry Stu, I think JBL's or ok but expensive compared to other brands.

Just had a quick listen to the Dali Katch, lovely sound and finish, but a little more costly, and I can see this as a permanent position speaker rather than portable, due to the quality of this speaker. Nice one Theo.

What ? My speaker isn't good vfm ? My street cred is now in tatters Dave  Don't worry, I am hardened to people taking absolutely no notice of me - especially my wife and kids. Not that I was trying to be a guru or an influencer (honest)

One of the things that attracted me to the charge 5 is it's ability to be used as a power bank. That is very handy when you have two screen addicted children . And you can buy em at Richer Sounds.

Street cred? Stu? Mate? You're a drummer.

Sorry, couldn't resist that one. Tell you what, I'll put my bass player's hat on and you can tell jokes like...

What's the difference between a bass and an onion?
Nobody cries when you chop up a bass.

How do you reduce wind-drag on a bassist's car?
Take the Domino's Pizza sign off the roof

What do you throw a drowning bass player?
His Amp.

How many Pop bass players does it take to change a light bulb?
None. The keyboard player does it with his left hand.

 Deal?

I would have thought you've got plenty of street cred with JBL's, and yes they were easy to buy at Richer Sounds.

I should have said my high farming society, tight fisted street cred not the wider world.

I didn't think jbl were highly thought of by today's yoof? But what do I know. I have to live with my purchase now. All I know is the jbl sounds better to me than a £750 Naim equivalent. That'll do for me.

How about a portable Bluetooth speaker bake off :happy-cheerleaderkid:

My Bose Mini Soundlink had a good work out today, streaming Radio Paradise at a barbacue. :guiness; Not hifi, but sounding very pleasant.
