Hifi is a solitary hobby and therefore any change need only satisfy yourself. But if you want to try and convince others of the efficacy , I'm increasingly attracted to blind tests.

I use washing machine rubber feet which cost peanuts on eBay. They do the same job and support my DAC, streamer and Mscaler. The Cubettes are also supported by them in the second system where they are on top of a cupboard.

The Sboosters which replaced my MCRU PSs and sound a lot better do not require them as they have feet similar to what is on NVA gear. The MCRU isolation stands would take the price of their PSs way above that of the Sbooster, not to mention optonal fancy kettle leads and "audiophile" fuses.

You don't feel the need to 'isolate' the Sbooster?

Sometimes, I wonder if these things appeal more to our eyes (and our OCD).

I might get an OCD improvement by dusting and tidying up my cables...?

They are not in close proximity to my source components, same as the A80s.

For solid state devices, I've heard no sonic differences at all to any of the stands or surfaces I've put them on.

Plonked on the floor sounds fine - as long as it's not a trip hazard.

I was expecting something like an original Sound Organisation Turntable Table before I clicked on the MCRU link. Only to find a rectangular plate with some rubber pads stuck on.

Products like that - for solid state - seem to appeal to the obsessive types. The ones that aren't into DIY, or thinking laterally.

For a ‘more sensitive’ piece of equipment I try harder- cd on cone spikes; dac/streamer & phono 1 on washing machine feet.
Sometimes it’s more the look than the function but on my diy cdp I have to remove vibration and dissipate without affecting other equipment- spikes to granite/ dense rubber base

I bought a set of 4 Vibrapods and Cones to try, and they're currently supporting my DAC.

I've also got a load of Clearlight Audio RDC Combi Bases and cones I picked up "used" for a song.

As a low-to-mid end solution, I like the Vibrapods; they are quite large in diameter though, so be warned.

I took all the iso vibra pod things from my Rega deck set up and place them under my DAC as the feet aren't big enough for suitable air flow.

other than that (TT aside) I've placed under the dac 2 x thin rubber mats with tin foil sandwiched and overlapped - then that's wired to the ex-gas pipe. make do and mend

my house is shag pile carpet and i've two cats and 1 fabric sofa...

I'm more in favour of softer rubber/sorbothane like those vibra pods, washing machine feet are maybe ok for heavy amplifiers:
I have placed 4 clear soft rubber washers under my mini pc and external hd, more for air flow than anything
I will say I did like what the VertexAQ platform did under my Densen cd player many years ago, the idea was the metal spike dissipated internal vibration away from the component https://www.audioemotion.co.uk/vertex-h ... 7236-p.asp
Nearly forgot, I've got some springy things back in the uk which I will try under my valve amp, sorry not SS
