TV antenna? If you still use one, nothing will save your tv. Mine is connected to an android box.
Not just your TV, pretty much everything on the same circuit is at risk. More likely in the UK where we have ring mains distribution.
Once you get over 2000V pretty much anything can happen, even jumping a split isolated SMPSU backwards (Colin Wonfor, where are you?). Hmm, a ring main (also used in NZ and Australia) would provide for some "interesting" behaviour, a huge inductive loop...
A ring main won’t behave exactly as an inductive loop because it is shorted, where ever current enters it can flow both ways. Still some interesting effects though! It is rare for houses to be struck by lightning, fortunately, in most cases there is sufficient metalwork around to dissipate the charge. Though the old wives tale that lightning never strikes the same place twice is complete rubbish.

I have often seen the effects of lightning strikes on aircraft and it usually just leaves some scorch marks, pinholes and/or traces of melted metal. The electronics never seemed to be affected. Then again aircraft are expected to be struck, and designed accordingly.

Spot on Geoff, I had lightning hit the front of the house twice in Chicago , and four nutty scientist and me run for cover, it was just a few feet away, the same day the mini van was hit, thank god for Faraday and is liking of cages. But the radio and electronic ignition did stop.

The problem in component death is that a lot of the new super fast stuff is MOS FET designs, CMOS, MICRO and you only have to shake a comb at them and there gone to silicon heaven with the Biro's.
And at Mega Volts and Mega Amps even Karata nutters like G.M. would go bang. (please)

Hi...how much voltage you need is something you can work out for your earphones. A HD650 needs ~1.8V to have the option to deal with full unique reach without cutting. Your AT earphones presumably need more like 1V. The connector does 0.44V, though the earphone jack on past iPhones was about 0.5V.

That 12% decline isn't a great deal, and it wouldn't affect any earphones sold as versatile purchaser units, however for your situation it very well may be sufficient to build cutting to where it becomes irritating at the volumes you for the most part use. My supposition would be that you were directly at the line previously, and presently you're on the opposite side

Sorry to hear about the cd player but to be honest your lucky you didn't post this from a hotel room. Houses don't often come off well when struck. On the up side it's time for an upgrade! and you will never get a better excuse.
