Yes, that would be the same as the outputs on may Denon CD player.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
If you do end up keeping names, perhaps swapping "Video" for "AV" would give them a bit of an update.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
Am I correct in thinking that Direct would not be appropriate for an integrated? I use Direct on my P90 SA and P20 and have found that it improves SQ.
With so many sources in this day and age I think numbers would be more appropriate than names and more in line with the minamilist ethos.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
Seems to me everyone is being hyper practical.
Obviously you must distinguish the input, but after that it's a question of aesthetics.
Decide on the basis of what looks good. Personally I think numbers are dull.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
Just number or dot them. You dont really need that many inputs either.savvypaul wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 11:30 am We are designing cases for our new integrated amplifier. Earlier NVA integrated amps had 'Tape, Aux, Video, Tuner, Disc, CD. Would you keep the same? Would you change the names? Would you do away with the names and just have numbers? Would you have very minimal markings - just input and volume? What do you think?

Why change a winning formula - stick with what's on the passive preamps.

Me I like names, because they sound friendly, number sound like prisoner number (extreme)savvypaul wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 11:30 am We are designing cases for our new integrated amplifier. I did EWA in number because I was out voted, but I got my way by having the front printed in mat black as silkscreen.
I do not want look at amp I want here the music, or the sound track from the "Fringe"
Well it all going to change again I have been pissed on again so now I have started a list of bit for sale tools, test kit, etc.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
I did use to print the PCB's on the silk screen and some in "Wngdings" so you could not read the nasty things I put on about the TQ crooks.

Re: Integrated Amplifier Markings?
NVA is bold, be bold. Give them names, like Tom, Dick, Harriet etc... Much like the last rename.
Kevin.
