Does a classic NVA period exist?

Unread post by Nigel »

Just wondering, in future, will there be a period in NVA's history regarded as their classic period?

Similar to chrome bumper or olive Naim? Or throughout their production life does the equipment components largely remain the same?

Would eighties NVA equal today's range?

I've got a bit of a soft spot for the earlier amps when Richard moved away from the original bolt up cases of the 80's and started using a combination of aluminium/acrylic/mdf (the original A80 monos with the big Avel Lindberg transformers were a peach) and the bling chrome statement amps in the 90's, plus the chrome fronted BB amps.

Bolt up AP30 is a classic though.!

I think it's a personal thing.

I see the hobbyist Richard Dunn years from c2003 to 2019 as the NVA classic era.
And the savvypaul and Tomasz period as their current era.

Please go ahead and arrange a bake off of 1980's NVA against more recent NVA. Even if it's just a personal bake-off that only you attend.

Other NVA bake-offs would also be welcome. EG NVA vs Lejonklou or Arkless stuff.
