I was thinking of seeing Whitesnake/Foreigner/Europe next month, but the tickets are a silly price so I am giving it a miss. I have seen Whitesnake more times than I can remember and Coverdale's voice is now completely shot. He can cut it in the studio but not live. I have also seen Europe in recent years, headlining and supporting Deep Purple.

Just got a ticket for Dropkick Murphys at Newcastle City Hall on Monday night, then it's Wingmen (Baz Warne from The Stranglers, Paul Gray from The Damned, Leigh Heggarty from The Ruts, Marty Love from Johnny Moped) at The Cluny in Ouseburn on Tuesday 24th.

Bought tickets to see Suzi Quatro in November on the 50th anniversary Can the can tour. Saw her over forty years ago and she was very good. Recently played her latest album and she still has the voice, though understandably more restrained. She was very influential because female rockers were thin on the ground in the early 70s.

What with the visit to the Ziggy Stardust shrine last weekend it seems I'm going back to my early teens.
