I know the audio quality on most Amazon "Echo" devices isn't up to much, but it's good enough for background, and in case you didn't know there's a skill (Amazon's version of an app) for Radio Paradise available, which I've got on in the background via an Echo Show 8 right now.

It's also a decent time to buy a "Show" as there are a lot of older models going cheap. i.e...

Delving a bit deeper, here's what you can "ask" Alexa to do via the Radio Paradise skill, including switching mixes.

I've just tested it by switching to the "Mellow" mix and it worked seamlessly.

I hear Alexa once in 2019 so it must have been first gen. Have to admit that it spooked me out.

I was cleaning a loaded shotgun when she spoke but the buck shot fixed her nag nag nag.
