Thanks for the advice, I've already done plenty of swopping about with leads ect, I can switch everything off except the speakers, it is only the one speaker that I get the hum coming from.

One speaker hum is unusual
I have had one speaker with a louder hum than the other related to poor plug in socket contacts- if I have a hum I always go to the power block then my turntable.
If it’s the speaker hope u have a warranty otherwise someone local to u (me) can open it if u are not confident

I've got one arm/hand and vinyl is easy for me . In fact it's physio aiding the dexterity of my left hand 😉


It should be a doddle for people with two arms/hands

I'm taking my Quad 57's down to Leicester for repair on Monday, hopefully this will get my speakers up and running again. I'm still enjoying my Tuolihao's though.
