I've been using a Gramofon streamer to steam Spotify for a few years, which has a mini-jack output straight into my amp. However, I've just bought a WiiM Mini, which I'd like to connect to my Cambridge Audio Dacmagic 100, really to see if it offers any improvement and to give Tidal a go too. The Mini has toslink output. Trouble is, the single toslink input on the DAC is already used by my TV, leaving two SPDIF inputs. I bought an EMK Sound Toslink to Mini Toslink Cable 3.5 SPDIF Optical cable, assuming that would do the trick. However, the DAC does not recognise any input. I've tried a toslink/toslink lead from the streamer to the DAC and it recognises 192khz input. Have I bought the wrong cable? Do I need something else? Can I actually connect the two different interfaces anyway? Any help gratefully received.

Looking at the Wiim Mini it also appears to have a USB-C output. Could try connecting from that to the USB input on the DacMagic.

Thanks Fretless. The USB-C on the Mini is actually the power input.

Ahhh ....

There are toslink / coax adaptor boxes like this one. AliExpress has several.

And there are (much) better DACs than the DacMagic 100 ( I know, I've got one).

Thanks Fretless. Yes, the Dacmagic is my first foray into Dacs. I appreciate it's not the last word in digital to analogue conversion.
