Audiiphile Fuses

Audiophile fuses seem to be a thing. For example I have read enthusiatic reviews for fuses from Synergistic Research, their "purple" mains fuse seems to be quite popular. But it's £190 at future shop :!: One from quantum Science £4200 :o (Just unbelievable)

I use a mains filter unit - an Isotec - GII Vision (like a minisub), and also have mostly Russ Andrews power cords to equipment that does not have captive cables ( NVA M600's) . I seems to me pretty uncontroversial that mains power mods can affect SQ. But fuses ?

I have never investigated the effect of alternative quality fuses. Many years ago I did try soldering (amp appropriate) fuse wire across plug fuse contacts, I recall it did make a +ve difference. So Ia m thinking of trying audiophile fuses maybe by starting with a "low cost audiophile" fuse in the IsoTec.

Anyone have any prior experience of trying these ? Any thoughts or recommendations ?
