Initially dissappointing compared to what they replaced- I’ve swapped the woofer for a doc mod and removed most of the filters Nva style
They have livened up and now I’m beginning to enjoy them- positioning will be key- didn’t like stands or balanced on spikes so I’ve got them on the record cubes with the classic rubber washing machine feet.
It’s hard not to try to change too much as they are a bit of history 🍺

Initially dissappointing against what they were substituting
I’ve taken them off the stands and found they don’t like spikes when sat atop my storage cubes- good old rubber washing machine feet.
KISS- removed the filters, single cap and resistor for the tweeters and run the woofer- now a doc modded driver- full on.
This has livened them up and yet tamed them at the same time- using Ls6 which I love- internally they are a cube with winglets- so tempting to change the internals with braces etc but they are a piece of history so ‘steady on boy’
I am starting to really like them- currently on the end of a pair of mk2 A40s

Little update
Modified the crossover again, lowered the resistor to get a better match between the low n high frequencies - have put some ‘fill’ into the winglets space behind the tweeters to mimic a cube interior - these are really starting to shine- the sound stage for mid n bass is some of the best I’ve had in this house. Originally sceptical about the tweeters- I’m now in love with them.
Well pleased with these
