I'm sure you drag that tired old thing out every year Paul  I am informed that the modern, down with the kids word for Christmas is Chrimmer.

Merry Chrimmer

I hope that everyone's Christmas went the way that you wanted. If you love Christmas, I hope you enjoyed it to the maximum. If you find Christmas difficult, then congratulations on getting to the other side.

I 'm a bit late to the thread as my youngest lad was in hospital all last week (he came home on Christmas day) following a lengthier than planned stay after an operation. It was a great excuse for me to be lazy about putting up decorations!

Happy New Year to all!

No white Xmas in The Netherlands but a very wet one.

A combination of excessive rainfall and early-melting snow in the Alps has pushed water levels here to record heights.

Luckily the Dykes here have been raised and strengthened recently so there is no immediate threat.

Photo is taken about a mile from my house, where the river-ferry crosses. The small illuminated sign in the middle is where the river bank should be.
