Footie - The Euros
My youngest lad has decided that we are supporting Albania in the Euros. Putting our money where our mouths are, we've just 'piled in' with a pound on a nil-nil against Italy...

Re: Footie - The Euros
England have the easiest peasiest group to get out of.
Expanding the tournament to 24 teams has watered down the quality.
So that you get 5-1 type results.
Let's see if the draw opens up to make it as flukily easy as what Southgate has had at previous tournaments...
The early trend has been no upsets so far. And none of the "big" teams under-performing.
Maybe it's England's turn to be the laughing stock of the tournament? Maybe not. Football is a relatively unpredictable sport...
Or international tournament football is. The Premier League has been far too boringly predictable for the last 4 years.

Re: Footie - The Euros
There is no outstanding team and an outsider could win it as Denmark and Greece have in the past.
I am interested in how Poland perform against what looks a strong Dutch team today. Wales were the better side and should have beaten them in the play off final. Poland were happy to take it to penalties and the rest is history.

Re: Footie - The Euros
After the false optimism of our Albania punt, my lad and I have had 4 winning bets out of 5. Last night was (a little) accidental as we meant to bet: France to win, 2 goals or less, Mbappe to score. Fortunately, my fat fingers selected Mbappe to score OR ASSIST.
We're now £8.42 up. I've written to Sky Bet to say 'no publicity'.

Re: Footie - The Euros
I must say, I'm quite enjoying the tournament so far, despite last night's dogshit refereeing. There have been some really good goals, and England even won their first group game, for a change.

Re: Footie - The Euros
What odds can you get on Georgia winning the competition?
They have a nice flag. And they were plucky competitors when they got gobbled up by Turkey...
