Re: Pat Metheny - Orchestrion
If anyone's interested, here is one of the best bits from the film. An improvisation where Pat lays down several layered loops and then transfers them to the percussion-bots via MIDI, then directly programs a bass line on the Piano. And keeps it building . Re: NVA MOVES
Ta for the goodwill. Luckily we can spread the move and do most of it with the Doblo (so pleased now I got it) only need a big van for the big stuff. Being a probate the house has needed a complete rebuild inside, we are up to nearly £20k with that but it puts at least £30k on the value of the hous...

Pat Metheny - Orchestrion
I'm watching the DVD of Pat Metheny' s 'The Orchestrion Project' and have to share a few opinions on this. Like or loathe Pat, he is an innovator and explorer in the musical universe and is always moving on to new ground. On the first 'Orchestrion' album he introduced us to a huge robotic music ense...

Re: Psycho Acooustic Effects
Wise words from the Master. I took singing lessons for several years and it became a very therapeutic process, as your whole body is involved in making sound. It is also very confrontational as singing involves a deep journey into one's own emotions. If the energy of the emotional intention of the p...

Re: Psycho Acooustic Effects
Studies have shown that listening to music stimulates more areas of the brain than any other form of activity except one - performing music. Somehow music has the ability to communicate and stimulate emotional responses not only in people but also in animals (cows give more milk with Mozart) and pla...

Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe (MK1) Instructions
Just like to say thanks for the quick delivery of the SSP1, it replaced an MIT Matrix 6 which I had found to be an excellent sounding interconnect. that is until the Sound Pipe went into action. And with the instructions here I had no trouble in installing it. The claim that SSP sounds as if your en...
