Re: Introduce Yourselves
Thanks Doc and Terry.
It would seem that we are fellow Yorkshiremen Terry, although i am in Noth Yorks but only a handful of miles from West Yorks.
Can't wait to get started posting.

Hi Stu, and welcome from an ex-pat Yorkshireman. (Family from S Yorks and have lived in both W & N Yorks).
Funnily enough the landscape here is rather similar to the Ouse / Wharfe floodplain.

Re: Introduce Yourselves
No, maybe i should have put wildlife habitat conservation. I have my own little 7 acre field which i have planted with trees, dug a large pond and generally left it to it's own devices.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:Save it from whom - us?

Re: Introduce Yourselves
Thanks for the welcome. Yes i live just off the Wharfe flood plain (thankfully) and last Christmas was a bit scarey. Flood water where i have never seen it before and bridges collapsing.Fretless wrote:Hi Stu, and welcome from an ex-pat Yorkshireman. (Family from S Yorks and have lived in both W & N Yorks).

I don't have any local friends who are interested in high fidelity audio reproduction. They think i am a nerd !

A slightly belated welcome from me too Stu. We know you're not a nerd, you're just a bit weird like the rest of us.

Re: Introduce Yourselves
New member here, very much attracted by the Doc's postings on speaker doping etc. I listen to pretty well most genres of music except opera and jazz. The system, when in full setup mode comprises an Icon Audio 40 amp fed by a laptop running JRiver Media Centre (plus Fidelizer optimisation) into a Musical Fidelity VDac2 and driving a pair of modified ScanDyna A30 speakers (Same size as Dynaco A35 but without the internal dividing bit). Mains cables and USB cable are home brewed, as will be the speaker cables when we've moved house. The interconnects are from Achtung Audio and basically the same as Artisan solid silver litz jobs. Additional tweaking comes from a Russ Abbott (sorry, Andrews) purifier, and some Akiko tuning sticks.
Re: Introduce Yourselves
Akiko tuning sticks. Welcome Simon, hope you learn all that you need re doping/modding speakers. Plenty of threads on the go at the moment.
