As the first track from last post was removed. It's one of my favourite house tracks out there.
reminds me very much of Seefeel "plainsong" EP
Cheerio
Technic SL-P1200ASC>>SSP>>P50sa>>SSP>>A80>>LS6>>Royd Prior>>> and on the whole very pleased about it.

Thanks for the kind words.
And to jammy - everything is about understanding it, seems like you just don't get the atmosphere, playing with timbre... I guess your slaughterhouse comparision is connected to these electronic tracks. Well, it's been the same how people reacted to strange Miles Davis's jazz, 'harsh' Black Sabbath etc, and it's the same with electronic music, though it's going for a bit longer. Electronic music is a huge beast and I bet you haven't heard even 10% of it with that reaction.
Some tracks for you:

There you go - from IDMs, through drum and bass, breakcore, electronic hardcore to dub techno and one ambient album which I really recommend! And there is much more of it!

OK, now, an American indie folk/rock band I've started discovering yesterday:

As usual I can't resist adding my two-pennyworth to a thread about sounds that can provoke extreme reactions, and my addition is John Cooper Clarke, a.k.a. The Bard of Salford. It's all about the words.

If you get the chance, look up The Faber Book of War Poetry edited by Kenneth Baker. Look up the section called The Consolations of Obscenity. I think you'll find the inspiration (shall we call it) for one of those poems.

Right now I'm listening to the newest Swans album titled The Seer. I'll check your tracks after I'm done with this beast - it started absolutely beautiful, like a perfect orchestra made by noise rock band. With their creativity they surpass Pink Floyd in almost every aspect imo.

EDIT: Yes, it's an amazing album, a must-listen for prog-rock fans, but in a noisy and symphonic way.

Why sorry..? I put it here, you don't like it and that's perfectly normal. I just want to encourage you guys to search for new sounds that fit your tastes and could also fit others'. Just anything that doesn't sound just like Miles Davis, Neil Young, Dire Straits, *put another classic here*, we want new sounds here, groovy, deep, musical, TASTY. Something 'else' that will make us realise that modern music isn't 100% crap, because I promise you - it's not.
I've mentioned Burial here a while ago, but this is actually more Massive Attack mixed by Burial-ish atmosphere. When this EP is playing, I'm somewhere, not sure where exactly, but somewhere far... The 2nd piece from the EP in 1st suggestion on Youtube.
