Good stuff, slinger. Goths are looking stupidly funny, but the music is nice, will check them out later.
Talking about Pink Floyd, inb4 'what is this, profanation':

That genre is turntablism, can be also considered as instrumental hip hop.

EDIT:

No comment, still exploring :P

And this is how dubstep (don't run away just because of 'dubstep') should sound like. I'm not really into that genre, just not really tasty for me, but this is interesting. Broken rythm, 0 annoying wobbles, scratches and dizzes and, you can't ignore that - real cover ART.

Ughh... I've been quite busy lately, started my final school year, final exams in 7 months etc etc, so I didn't have so much time lately in general. I've started discovering Belle and Sebastian. What they play is a kind of pop. But a really good pop, I really got into them. The first four songs are whole "3.. 6.. 9 Seconds of Light" EP, the other two are from their newest album. What can I say about is... nothing really, because they are unlike anything I've put in this topic. Don't expect almost-naked pop stars though, but a really decent piece of music.

Jammy, come on, don't be an... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sdl6V5otgoY
Music is good whenever it suits you. Just don't be ignorant, please, I argued with many people with similar to your's attitude and it's really pointless. I've seen a lot of 'music for plants' or 'it's boring, everything the same, constant rythm, banging through your head, etc' and I am really tired of that. You are the kind of a musical fundamentalist that can't handle the modern abstraction. Well, I'm sorry, but we'll have to live with that. If you don't want to contribute, simply don't. Nobody is mad at the fact you don't like modern music and how it evolves. Deep House is one of my favourite genres, especially Powel-like or Terry Lee Brown Jr-like, that's why I post many tracks there, just exploring my fascination and sharing, so someone might catch the virus and enjoy.
Anyway, when writing this I've remembered about Carissa's Wierd, an indie rock/slowcore band.

I hope you don't feel insulted, as just as I said, I've enough of arguing about which genre of music is 'correct' or so. I'm into the old stuff as well, I love the swing/gypsy jazz from 30s for example, sometimes, rarely but I do listen to classical music - Bartok, Chopin or Bach, who is one of my favourite classical composers. That doesn't change the fact the evolution of art goes on. In such modern music I can hear the industrial inspirations, different moods, having fun with sound mixing it like a painter mixes different colours painting a masterpiece. You can't compare these genres as it's like... a whole different form, completely different times, different approach to art and to humans' expression, hugely inspired by environment we live in.

or perhaps Roger Ruskin Spear and Ade Edmondson covering The Kaiser Chiefs?
