Well that was 10 mins on Ebay. I will do some more when I get a mo - lots of fun to see if there are any hidden gems.

I don't know the jap maker models you suggest, but the M-S and I suspect the Dalesford-based ones should still be great fun (I don't mind the tone of bextrene as long as the 'quack' is properly tamed with doping)...
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

Re: Worth a punt.
That is my point, people reject the Japanese speakers because they are Japanese. The major companies got fed up with it and in the 80's moved to having their speakers designed and even made in the UK - big mistake IMO. The big 60's and 70's multi driver Jap speakers can be great fun and an eye opener (ask Macca), their 80's and 90's BBC type clones were a waste of space.
These early Japanese speakers are so cheap (and they don't need work or refoaming) that they are worth a punt just to find out what their design genre was all about (imitation Altec and JBL) which gives an insight into the big early US speakers as well. AND they are VERY well made, don't think because they are Japanese they are badly made, this again is a mistake of judgement as Gromit has also shown with Sony amps.
