Re: Covid "jab" and Nhs.
My jab is Saturday. As I'm still young ,it must be because I've had a brain bleed .I can however recently walk without a stick so this benefit of the jab is not needed .

What are you going on about ?
The fact I had a brain bleed that would have killed most people ( hemorghic brain bleed kills 8 out of 10 people) and indeed did kill a celebrity same age ,same location of bleed and same time. Means I am regrettably in the at risk category. I will therefore having my vacination.

ADMIN EDIT - ad hominem removed. Colin made a joke about the jab not improving his balance so he had to continue with his walking stick .
I carried on the joke pointing out that I had recently given up using my stick so I didn't need the jab for this reason.
Do keep up

It wasn't (a fact).Daniel Quinn wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:28 pm You do know that a statement of fact can not be ad hominem
It was an understandable reaction, though, to a few posts that seemed to be picking an argument for the sake of it. But it was still aimed at the person rather than the subject.

Re: Covid "jab" and Nhs.
I have my appointment now for my first jab next Thursday which I am pleased about and then the second on 02/06 . One thing that sticks in my gullet a bit though is the centre is based at Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool and the only parking on site (even for Disabled Badge holders like me) is charged at £3.00 for an up to an hour . A tax on being ill is in my view disgusting and I will vote for any party that will remove this nasty blot . Sorry this just winds me up so much I am going to find a place to park and then walk to the centre just so I do not put money in the greedy parking companies coffers. Vaccination service and NHS top class paid for parking a disgrace.

Got my first shot yesterday. Got the Pfizer one, arm is a tad sore, but not terrible. They set up a vax station at a local community college. You drive through, check in, stay in your auto, and drive into the vax line. After getting stuck you go to a waiting area for 15 minutes and if no issues you are free to go home. Sorta of feel like a cow getting processed at the slaughterhouse, or perhaps it reminds me of the stories of new arrivals at Ellis Island. The end result is it is done. Have to wait three weeks for the second one, but step one is done.
