Re: Another stupid question - passive pre related system bui
It is the Quad preamps for me that are particularly dull. I had a 44 recently whilst waiting for the Pip to be fixed. The 405-2 is OK, but better for new opamps, reduced input gain, revised bridge, and hard-wiring. As i said to Kevin the Heat sink, chassis and transformer is worth £250 of anybodies ...

Re: Exercise
I don't do as much as I'd like. I play tennis fairly intensively at least twice a week, and try to either walk the dogs or go to the gym most other days - but I have bad weeks, like last week.
Used to play golf, but havent in ages.

Re: Hifi sabbatical
I'm sort of on sabbatical even now. By volume, I listen to far more music in the car, at the gym, or on the minor systems in the house (particularly kitchen). It's not so much wires and tat that bother me, I (try to) follow Jammy's example on wires, once it is set up. It's all the fiddling interfere...

Re: New NVA website - proofreaders needed
I had a request from a member to do an accounting review on another business - but their website / trading name did not enable me to identify the company at Companies House You refer to "securing the future of the company after me". Punters are notoriously sloppy with their language, and y...

Re: The Model Helicopter thread
Nice collection. I think I may be just about ready to move onto flybarless. And as I said to you earlier will probably looking at a Blade mcpx next to add to my Blade 450x and Trex 600. The 600's are much easier to fly, much less bothered by wind, and MUCH more expensive to repair when it all goes w...

+1 and I run the preamp out of my AV amp into a 3rd input, so that the main 2 channel takes on the front L+R of the Home Cinema set up.CageyH-FX1200 wrote:I use the tape loop for my headphone amp.

The Model Helicopter thread
Oh OK Cagey. If we must These are the picks I posted when Stan got all excited about 12W through a soldered joint. (Heaven only knows what the circuit board on a Bushmaster looks like - breadboard push connect presumably) http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t582/oldpinkman/battery_zpse59eb5aa.jpg [u...

Re: The Accountancy Thread
It's a brave new world today. When I was younger, at parties , to impress the girls I would claim to be a pilot. Today, all the pilots, who are really glorified bus drivers in the sky, pretend to be accountants. It's the glamour profession.
